Our trained and licensed applicators are capable of correctly fertilizing your lawn all season long!  We are unique because our applicators are able to put out a liquid fertilizer or a granular depending on what your preference is.  We can offer our professional recommendation to you based on many factors, like:
  • Finding out what your soil type is.
  • What time of the year and weather will permit.
  • If you have a lot of weeds on your property.
  • Looking for a quick green up for a few months or a slightly slower green up that can last for more than half of the season.
We can take care of all your weed problems.  There are a many ways that we control weeds and even prevent them from popping up on your property!  These are a few ways that we help take care of and prevent weeds.
  • Putting out a Pre-Emergent at the beginning of the season can help prevent many of the normal weeds that we see in Utah.
  • We have special equipment on most of our spraying rigs that allows us to spot spray for weeds every time we are fertilizing.  We do this so that we can eliminate your weed problems without having to charge you extra to come out again just to kill the weeds!
  • Putting out a Post-Emergent to help kill the weeds that have already popped up, without killing your grass or plants.

Different Types of Lawn Fugues In Utah

Brown Patch

What is Brown Patch?
Brown Patch lawn disease is a common and widespread problem caused by Rhizoctonia solani fungus. The disease can infect a variety of common turf-grasses but the most susceptible grass species include perennial ryegrass, tall fescue, and the bent-grasses.

Brown Patch can also become a problem to Kentucky bluegrasses in mid-to-late summer during extended periods of high temperature and humidity.

Here is an article from Lawn & Landscape about Brown Patch that Elite Grounds L.C. was featured in.

Necrotic Ring Spot

 What is Necrotic Ring Spot?
  • A troublesome disease that infects lawns across the country.
  • This disease is a parasitic form of plant life called fungi. Fungi live in the soil, thatch and dead leaves all year round. These fungi feed off the grass by drawing nutrients from it.
  • The disease first attacks very early in the season and becomes especially visible during warm weather.
  • Necrotic Ring usually attacks sodded lawns but may also attack seeded lawns in both sun and shade.
Promoting a healthy lawn is the key to preventing Necrotic Ring from appearing.  Sadly though, that isn't always enough.  Fungicides may be required to control, reduce, and maintain the Necrotic Ring Spot spores and prevent them from spreading.
Elite Grounds has been treating Necrotic Ring Spot for 10+ years for residential and commercial properties. If you have Necrotic Ring Spot in your yard, call or email us for an evaluation and get the help that your yard needs.
